Craig “Bubba” Norton
Founder | Interventionist | Recovery Coach
Craig “Bubba” Norton is the founder of A Better Boat Recovery Services and the creator of GUTS—God’s Unseen Training System. With more than 17 years of continuous sobriety, Bubba combines professional experience with a personal understanding of addiction, recovery, and the courage required to change.
Bubba works directly with individuals and families through professional interventions, treatment placement, recovery coaching, case management, and long-term support. His experience with treatment programs allows him to help families identify the level of care and treatment environment most likely to meet their loved one’s individual needs.
His approach is direct, compassionate, and grounded in accountability. Bubba believes recovery is not built through shame or empty promises, but through honesty, structure, spiritual principles, and connection with others.
His guiding philosophy is simple: WE before ME. We do not recover alone.
Tony Leal
Recovery Coach | Interventionist
Tony Leal brings military discipline, investigative experience, and recovery leadership to his work at A Better Boat. A former United States Marine, Tony served in combat operations in Iraq before beginning a law-enforcement career that included the Texas Highway Patrol, criminal investigations, and service as a Texas Ranger.
Tony later spent six years working in the recovery field, including four years as Director of Recovery Coaching at Windmill Wellness Ranch. In that role, he built and supervised a recovery-coaching department supporting clients through early sobriety and long-term recovery planning.
Tony’s own recovery journey gives him a personal understanding of what it takes to get—and remain—sober. Today, he uses his lived experience, leadership skills, and ability to remain composed in difficult situations to provide interventions and recovery coaching that are direct, disciplined, compassionate, and grounded in accountability.
Tiffany Olson
Sober Transport Coordinator | Operations Manager
Tiffany Olson serves as the Sober Transport Coordinator and Operations Manager for A Better Boat, where she coordinates more than 120 sober transports each month. She directly supervises a team of 8 to 10 drivers, schedules and assigns each transport, monitors trips from departure through arrival, and provides treatment centers with timely updates throughout the journey.
Drawing on her own recovery journey, Tiffany understands the fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability that can accompany the decision to enter treatment. She brings that understanding to every interaction, ensuring clients are transported safely and reliably while being treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
Tiffany is also an Enlifted-trained coach, CrossFit coach, and group facilitator with a passion for recovery, mental wellness, fitness, and personal development. Whether she is supporting a client or leading a driver, Tiffany is guided by a simple belief: people deserve to be treated like people, not their circumstances.
Lylah Nassar, M.S., LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Family Support Through A Better Boat
At A Better Boat, we understand that addiction, mental-health challenges, and the decision to enter treatment affect the entire family—not only the individual receiving care. An intervention can open the door to recovery, but families often need guidance of their own as they begin rebuilding trust, establishing healthy boundaries, and changing long-standing patterns.
To support that process, A Better Boat makes licensed family therapist Lylah Nassar available to the families of individuals we serve through interventions. Her work provides families with a safe, professional place to process what they have experienced, strengthen communication, and learn healthier ways to support recovery without losing sight of their own healing.
About Lylah
Lylah Nassar is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with five years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in Texas and New York City. She helps clients navigate relationship challenges, major life transitions, and difficult patterns that can keep families feeling disconnected or stuck.
Because one person’s struggle often affects the entire family system, Lylah works with spouses, partners, and family members to understand those patterns and build healthier ways of relating. Her work may include rebuilding trust, resolving conflict, improving communication, setting appropriate boundaries, processing hurt and resentment, and adjusting to changing roles throughout treatment and recovery.
Lylah’s approach is warm, direct, and relational. She draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic approaches, and a broader family-systems perspective. Her goal is to support each person’s individual healing while helping families build stronger, healthier, and more connected relationships.
